Advanced Control Algorithm for Three-Phase Shunt Active Power Filter Using Sliding DFT

This paper describes n digital control algorithm for a three-phase shunt active power filter (APF) using switching–sliding discrete Fourier transform (SSDFT). Traditionally, APF algorithms use first harmonic detector circuits, which can be implemented the SDFT algorithm. The classical is characterized by long-term stability issues, resulting from numerical errors. Many complex modifications to improve of have been proposed in scientific literature. article proposes solution problem basic structure authors propose switching algorithm, where two original are parallel. Both turned on alternately after set period time and reset zero order errors causing their unstable operation. Compared SSDFT requires only about 25% more arithmetic operations. approach has validated experimental tests dramatically reduces TMS320F28379D microcontroller. sampling method internal A/D converter microcontroller also presented. includes test results complete APF.
